Charity auction/dinner 2012

Child of Hope’s first, very own charity auction and dinner – hosted by top sports journalist Darren Lewis.

Auction lots will include:

• A pair of Gareth Bales' football boots, signed, sold individually

• A signed cricket bat by England 20/20 captain Paul Collingwood,

• Full day VIP racing at Newbury, for two people, inc food and parking,

• Autograph by Formula One world champion Sebastian Vettel,

• Tottenham Hotspur FC football shirt, signed by Jermain Defoe

• Full day cricket at the Rose Bowl, for two people, inc parking,

• Arsenal FC certified 2011/12 team photo, signed by all players,

• £100 voucher for Brittany Ferries,

• Original abstract oil painting by Dorset artist Jan Dowding,

• Bello Bebe collectable doll ‘The Glory of Love’ limited edition,

• A day for two people at the Health Spa & Leisure Club at the Hallmark Hotel, Bournemouth,

• A Bournemouth beach hut for a week.

A football writer for the Daily Mirror for ten years, Darren Lewis is a regular on the Premier League, Champions League and International Beat… plus Sky Sports News as well as radio stations TalkSPORT and Five Live, and occasional appearances on GMTV. He is named among the 50 most influential black people in the game, along with the likes of England captain Rio Ferdinand, Sol Campbell and Chris Kamara.

The event will help raise thousands of pounds to help finish the construction of the Child of Hope School in the Namatala slum district of Mbale, Uganda. And that will make a huge difference to the lives of hundreds of children who currently have very little hope for any kind of education and employment.
