You can see how construction is progressing on our secondary school in this 2-minute video. We’re still on target for completing in time for the new school year in Jan/Feb and, as you’ll see, buildings are taking shape nicely.

Primary 7 pupils are preparing to sit the leaving exam in two weeks time, which will determine their future educational pathways. For the first time, they will sit the exam at our school, following its approval as an exam centre by the Inspector of Schools.

Suzan enrolled in the local school of vocational studies last year for a diploma in Fashion & Design and passionately loves everything about it. She is now doing well in her final semester and will graduate at the start of 2020.

It’s with great sadness we have learned of the death of Gill Sherlock, one of the founder trustees of Child of Hope UK and mum to Bex Okotel.

Additional individual support was given to Hope, a child in the nursery class, by her class teacher. The teacher has given her additional time outside of class to help her get to grips with phonics, so she is now able to write down sounds that previously baffled her.

Learning is not limited to the classroom! Sometimes pupils and teachers alike enjoy lessons outdoors, which gives a flavour of traditional African learning where classes took place under trees.
