Home teaching resources – prepared and personally delivered by teachers to our pupils in the Namatala slum during Covid lockdown – are allowing our students to continue their education.

Many of the older children from within the Namatala slum cannot just sit at home idle when their schools are shut; they look for ways to make some money. John found he could do that by making and selling chapatis.

Gloria was recently left in Namatala to care for herself, her little sister and their home after their mum was taken ill. They survived on occasional food sent from the village by their older sister until our welfare team stepped in.
