Setting up a regular donation (from £7/ month) to support healthcare at Child of Hope means that we can provide free medical care to the children as it is needed.
Most medical provision in Uganda isn’t free, so the children attending our school aren’t likely to receive any, unless we provide it. Your donations will help to provide medical attention as required. There is a nurse on duty during school hours to attend to immediate problems. More serious situations are dealt with at a local Christian clinic.
Every child is regularly given a huge bar of soap and jar of Vaseline to take home to their family to help with skin ailments and hygiene. We teach the children and their parents how to combat the spread of disease, provide practical teaching for parents/carers on health issues, and on issues such as domestic child abuse, road safety and domestic unintentional poisonings.
