Paul going to new home .JPG

Meet Paul, a brave 6-year-old in our baby class.

Just a short while ago, Paul faced unimaginable challenges. With no one to care for him at home, he had started living on the streets, sleeping outside people's houses and using carrier bags to keep warm. Our school nurse had to treat his legs as he had infected cuts due to a lack of facilities to wash them.

The welfare team highlighted Paul's urgent need for support during one of our 'Team Around the Child' meetings. With no relatives in Namatala able to care for him, we stepped in to help. Through our foster programme, Paul joined a welcoming family, one of our school parents, and is thriving with his new brothers.

Today, Paul is safe, cared for, and has a place to call home. Stories like his remind us why our foster programme is so essential—it provides a lifeline for children like Paul, ensuring they have the safety, love, and support they deserve.
