Reuben lost his parents in a fatal accident as a small child and has been looked after since then by his grandmother. However, she recently became very ill and unable to care for him any longer. Our welfare team recognized the need for foster care to be arranged – and didn’t need to look far.

Mr. Peter, who trains Child of Hope’s vocational pupils in carpentry skills, agreed to take Reuben in. He has been living happily in his new foster home for three weeks now, which is only ten metres from his grandmother’s house! This enables him to keep in close touch with his local friends as well as his grandmother.
