At our nursery school, teacher Irene brought her middle-class pupils together for a fun outdoor activity all about water, measuring and teamwork.
Armed with bottles and a big pink basin, the children took turns filling, pouring and comparing, learning new words like full, empty, and amount as they went.
As you can see, they concentrated very hard and did really well, managing to stay relatively dry! When the bottles were full, Irene showed them how to use the water to care for the school garden instead of throwing it away – a fabulous lesson, and the flowers were very grateful for a drink!
