We're incredibly proud of Bono (left) and Isaac, two of our Senior 5 pupils at Child of Hope's secondary school. They were both recognised at The Blandford School's very first Creative Arts Awards in Dorset, UK, earlier this month.
Bono, founder of Cornerstone Performing Arts, received a special award for his outstanding contribution to the arts, and Isaac was honoured for his musical performance. Bono said he was surprised and very happy to receive the award. They have been collaborating with the UK school via video to exchange ideas (and dance moves!).
In Uganda, a celebration was held to mark the occasion, with cake, speeches, and Creative Arts Awards also presented to other pupils. Bono and Isaac are a real inspiration to their peers and a fantastic example of how talent and opportunity can open doors.
