There was great excitement as pupils and teachers were reunited at the start of a new school year last week.
After a very long holiday when they missed being with each other, there was a lot of catching up to be enjoyed. The new term officially started in the whole of Uganda on February 3. Child of Hope teachers had been at school for the previous week preparing for the start of term.
At a general assembly of the primary school on the first day back, the head teacher briefed the pupils on what to expect this term. The teachers introduced themselves and explained which classes they would be leading. The children were enthusiastic about starting their new classes.
