Paul is just 6 years old, one of our Primary One pupils and one of our most vulnerable children.

Each morning, Paul sets off from his mud-and-stick home in Namabasa carrying his 2-year-old sister, Josephine. He first walks to a children's centre in Namatala to drop off his sister, before continuing to school. The whole journey takes around 45 minutes. If he gets too tired along the way, Paul gently encourages his little sister to walk beside him until he regains the strength to carry her again. As you can imagine, that's a big responsibility for someone so young.

When Paul arrives at school, his first stop is always the nurse's office, where he puts on his uniform and shoes that are kept safe at school so they won't get ruined at home. Then, with a big smile, he heads into class to learn and play with his friends.

We're so happy to share that Paul now has a sponsor, and it means the world to him! But there are still many more children, just like Paul, who are waiting for someone to change their story.
