Ebola washing 1.jpg

You may have seen the recent news about Ebola cases in Uganda and DR Congo — here's how Child of Hope is keeping our school community safe.

Uganda's health ministry has responded quickly, and schools across the country (including ours!) have stepped up some everyday precautions. At COH, that means handwashing stations at every entrance and near every classroom — everyone washes their hands on the way in, and regularly throughout the day too. We also have temperature guns to screen for any signs of fever.

Our pupils have taken it all in their stride, and honestly, a bit of extra handwashing never hurt anyone!

COH is based in Eastern Uganda, well away from the border areas affected by the outbreak, and we're following the Ministry of Health's guidance closely. We'll keep you posted, but for now — it's business as usual, just with extra clean hands.
