One of our IGA mothers, Lydia (centre in picture), has been struggling with tuberculosis and pneumonia for a long time, but thankfully is now recovering.

It has been miserable for her son, Titus in Primary 4, to see her bedridden, at one time relying on an oxygen machine to survive. This has never stopped Titus attending school and now he is pleased to be seeing his mother’s health improve.

She has recovered sufficiently to start regaining independence and has been able to attend church too. Most of her savings have been spent on hospital bills but Lydia is now hoping to resume her business and save for Titus’s future.
