We often share news about activities our pupils are involved in at home. Most of the children have been trying to help their parents – like Difas, who is helping to dig part of the small area of land belonging to his family.
Knowing this is a good season for planting, he asked his parents if he could take charge of a portion of the plot to grow maize. This won’t be to sell, but it will be used to make posho flour, which will help feed their own family. Posho is a staple food for local families so it will mean a saving on the family food budget.
His parents have provided the maize seeds and Difas will do the rest. We wish him success!
