Recently, pupils from Child of Hope Junior School took part in a music competition at Mbale Police Primary School, going head-to-head with eight other primary schools from across the city.
There was poetry, traditional dance, storytelling, and even a bit of Western chorus thrown in — plenty of chances for our pupils to show off their confidence, creativity and teamwork.
One of the storytelling pieces tackled a big topic: how communities can work together to end HIV/AIDS. Our pupils used their moment on stage to share messages of awareness, prevention and support — no small task for primary schoolers, but they handled it brilliantly.
And the result? Third place out of nine schools — and the only private school in the whole competition. Not bad going up against eight government schools!
A huge well done to every pupil and teacher who prepared, practised and performed. A proud moment for the whole COH family.
